LOUNGE ACCESS

PIN–UP XXL is our first issue entirely dedicated to design, including a celebration of rising talent based in our hometown, New York City. To honor the NYC11 — Armando Aguirre, Felix Beaudry, Sarah Burns, Kiki Goti, Kouros Maghsoudi, Luam Melake, Nifemi Ogunro, Ellen Pong, Tika Shelia (Around The Studio), Olivia Vigo, and Max Zinser — PIN–UP threw a party at the legendary Parkside Lounge on East Houston, with support from our friends at the design company Maharam. All of the NYC11 were not only photographed for the cover, but were also in attendance and co-hosted for the night.

The guest list was a cross-section of downtown cool and design’s finest, with partygoers sipping cocktails and cheap beers, dancing to the sound of DJs Skype Williams, DeSe Escobar, and Michael Magnan, who kept the party going until the early morning. It was a major blowout fit for a big issue — and probably the funnest party of NYCxDESIGN week.
